DINELUMEN HOSPITALITY ACADEMY
Learn hospitality. Gain real experience. Earn while you train.
We’re developing a hospitality academy where you learn while working a paid summer season, with separate paths in bar, restaurant service and kitchen. Practical experience and guidance from an experienced team member would help you build your skills.

FIND YOUR DIRECTION
Designed for people starting out in hospitality, the programme combines practical work with guidance from an experienced team member. Each trainee would focus on one path, with clear skills to develop throughout the summer.
BEHIND THE BAR
Learn the preparation, care and organisation behind every well-served drink.
THE DINING ROOM
Build the confidence to welcome guests and help a busy service run smoothly.
IN THE KITCHEN
Develop practical foundations and good habits in a working kitchen.
LEARN WHILE YOU WORK
Training would take place alongside your paid work during the summer. The plan combines guidance from an experienced colleague, short weekly lessons and clear skills to practise in your role.
Regular feedback would help you understand your progress and take on more responsibility as you learn. The aim is a first step into a hospitality career.
Meet your mentor and learn about safety, hygiene, guest care and the way your team works.
Practise on the job with an experienced team member. Short weekly lessons, scheduled within paid training time, would build on your everyday work, with feedback and practical reviews along the way.
Review your progress and build a record of the skills you have demonstrated. Discuss possible returning roles or future opportunities.
A FEW THINGS TO KNOW
The programme is being designed for beginners who want to learn and work as part of a restaurant team. Eligibility requirements and the application process will be published before applications open.
You would learn while working during the summer. Practical guidance, short weekly lessons and feedback are planned alongside paid work, so you can practise new skills throughout the season.
Paid seasonal employment is central to the planned programme. Salary, working hours, employment terms and accommodation arrangements are still being finalised and will be explained before applications open.
Applications are not yet open. We’ll publish the season dates, available roles and full programme details on this page when they are confirmed. We are not collecting programme fees.
The planned outcome is an individual record of demonstrated workplace skills and an employer reference. This is not currently an accredited course or a state-recognised qualification.
The aim is to discuss a next step based on your progress and the roles available. That could include returning to our team or exploring opportunities elsewhere. Future employment and salary increases are not guaranteed.
PROGRAMME IN DEVELOPMENT
